Zeke has been involved in production of ceramics for 30 odd years. From its beginnings in domestic ware it has evolved to the purely decorative, with emphasis on techniques that enhance design and colour.

 

Quality control is a function of Zeke’s laboratory background. A long-lasting interest in painting, coupled with a lively imagination was hugely aided by doing a Bachelor of Design (Hons) at Unitec. This gave scope for imaginary landscapes influenced by artists such as Henri Rousseau and Salvador Dali.

 

Environmental issues like loss of habitat and native bird species becoming critically endangered provide the seed from which the imagination can work.
