I work in the space where nature and technology meet. I take native NZ Matai timber and create jewellery by cutting and etching pieces with a laser cutter. Each of my delicate pieces are designed by hand, converted to a digital sketch and cut from the raw timber.

 

I design and make all of my art in a small studio on the edge of the Waitakere Ranges regional park. My work is inspired by the NZ native flora and fauna that I see around me as well as the wild West Coast beaches. I aim for my pieces to give the wearer a sense of connection to the natural environment.
