CATHERINE WELLS
Over the years I have made jewellery for my friends, my family and their friends. The majority of my work is made out of sterling, fine silver or precious metal clay, with the occasional foray into gold and platinum.
I have recently been learning about glass enamelling onto silver - I love to use colour and am working on developing a range of jewellery that uses enamels. At the same time I have been experimenting with glass fusing and slumping. I find it fills the need to make larger works from time to time.
Glass is such a fascinating medium and such a change from any previous work I have done over the years but jewellery is my passion.
